About Can't-Wait Willow -
Willow is so excited that the Over-the-Top
Circus has finally come to town! The only problem is, that when left to her own
devices, she can’t say “no” to some good things. On the way to the show, she is
distracted by enticing treats and fun that she just can’t turn down. Willow
arrives late and is sad to find that, not only has she has run out of time, but
money, and she won’t be able to enjoy the pink cotton candy she’s been dreaming
of. Willow is given valuable advice and a second chance and is ultimately taught
the lesson that sometimes in life you have to say “no” to good things to end up
with something great!

This is a wonderfully written book and a perfect read for my younger children still learning patience. "Sometimes you've got to say "no" to the good, so you can say "yes" to the best." Willow learns a valuable lesson on her way to the circus - sometimes it's better to wait and you end up with the truly great!
Star Search! I love when books add a little extra something special like Can't-Wait Willow did. On each page your children will have fun finding the start that follows Willow. Ask your children if they can tell if the star is excited or sad? The star will change depending on Willow and if she makes a wise decision or something that might not be the best choice. My kids liked finding the star and then talking about the mood and how the star was feeling and why.
There is also a section in the beginning of the book for grownups. It provides some information about the book and how to use the book when reading with your children. There is a great web site with games, apps, tools, and parenting resources to help your family choose right!
We really love this book and I'm anxious to be able to read this again with my kids as each time we read it a different conversation is started!
