For the next month I'm going to join Brenda from Garden of Learning in her Gratitude Challenge.
DAY ONE, NOV. 1st-
Today I am thankful for my home. I joke and complain too much about how small it is; when in fact I truly consider my house a gift from God. How two young "kids" in their early 20's could afford a home on one, low income is surprising. It was a total God thing for sure.
My home is warm and cozy. We have been able to make room for our growing family. It has taught us patience having one bathroom.
We have made our house a home and I love it!
What are you thankful for today?
Me, too! Though we get out and do a lot of fun things with the kids, I love the days we can spend at home together.
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me, Crystal - whenever we are there to visit, I'm always amazed by how neat and organized your home is. I think you could make a cardboard box work for your family. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great thing to be thankful for. I am also participating in the gratitude challenge. I look forward to reading everything you are thankful for this year.
ReplyDeleteCrystal,
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard about the Gratitude Challenge but you've piqued my interest that I need to look it up. Your post reminds me of an email I received years ago about being thankful for the mess (dirty dishes because it means I have food, dirty clothes because we have something to wear, etc) I just want to say GOD BLESS YOU!!!! I don't think I have the patience to home school. I'm always amazed at the people who do.
Thank you for following me. I am your follower too. Looking forward to seeing your posts.
Rhonda
I will not be able to keep this up but for today I am trying to comment on all the Gratitude Challenge participants blogs.
ReplyDeleteHomes are a great thing to be thankful for... I am sure that will be one of the 30 things I post about in the next 30 days of the challenge. Maybe I should start a list of the 30 things I want to say thanks for so I don't forget any or do any of them twice!! LOL.
God Bless.
Thanks for stopping by following u back
ReplyDeleteThis is just great. It truly wasn't until I found total contentment in our small home before God opened up the opportunity for us to move to a larger home. If I had been called to remain there in the small home, just the fact that I found how to be content would have been such a blessing in itself.
