Today is my son's 6th birthday. I love celebrating each of my children, but today, celebrating Ezra, always puts an extra big smile on my face. Ezra was born 14 weeks early. I was only 6 months pregnant when he came into this world (26 weeks). He came so quick and we were so unprepared for his early arrival - I think I was in shock the first few days of his life.
His weight at birth was a tiny 2 pounds 1 ounce, but dropped to just 1 pound 11 ounces in the first few days. He was so teeny, tiny and so fragile.
Those three LONG months Ezra spent in the NICU were some of the worst and best days of my life.
The ups and downs were almost unbearable at times.
Leaving the NICU everyday never became easier.
We are so blessed and thankful Ezra is now a healthy, happy, silly, sweet, active 6 year old little boy!

Aw happy belated birthday to your little guy! It must have been so terrifying having him come so early, but glad he has grown up to be such a cute, happy little kid!
