I have to admit, this is one review I wasn't excited about doing. I never looked into teaching my children Latin, I just didn't see the point or importance of teaching an ancient language.
I couldn't have been more wrong! I'm so thrilled to share with you how awesome Visual Latin is! I love how this DVD program is set up! Dwane (the instructor) is great! He is interesting to listen to, funny, and my kids love him! Most importantly, he has explained just how important learning Latin is! Not only can learning Latin help with a foreign language, but it can also help you with your English grammar!
I sat down with just my 18 year old daughter to check this Latin program out. Dwane makes each lesson interesting. My five older children (ages 12 to 16) soon asked if they could watch the DVD's and are now all loving their Latin lessons.
The lessons are not long, which we love, and are followed by worksheet exercises WITH answers provided. The worksheets are completed in sections - A - Grammar, B - Sentences, C - Translation.
We all sit down together (because I'm learning too!) for our Latin lesson each day. No lesson planning for me, just pop in the DVD and print out our worksheets for that lesson.

I received the first Visual Latin DVD (lessons 1-10) in exchange for my thoughts and honest review.
Good review. I never really considered teaching Latin to my children, either. But I've been thankful for this opportunity to review Visual Latin, as well. Dwane definitely makes the program! :-)
